The beginig

Let’s Start

It is the first time of creating a blog and start to write. Please, excuse me if there are any errors or misspelling. The reason of starting with “Creativity” is because I see everything in our life can be related to creativity; life style, learning, education, communication …….

Creativity can be defined as; phenomenon whereby a person creates something new; which means creativity does not has one specific way, style or method. We are humans and everyone has his own way of thinking and creating things. If we think of creativity we will realize it is related to everything in our life. Think about universe, solving problems, learning, teaching, life style, communication, and so many things, you will find it is related to creativity. Try to give yourself a time everyday even for just five minutes to realize how creativity touchs every aspect of your life.

Origin of “Creativity” as a word

The lexeme in the English word creativity comes from the Latin term creō "to create, make" and its derivational suffixes also come from Latin. The word "create" appears in English as early as the 14th century. However, its modern meaning as an act of human creation did not emerge until after the Enlightenment  (Wikipedia).

Aspects of creativity

As we are human being, everyone has different way of creativity. Also, some are more creative than others based on some aspects (4 Ps).
  • Process
  • Product
  • Person
  • Place

Improving Creativity

Creativity is a human feature that can be improved following some of so many different ways; for example:
  • Imagination
  • Go to a new environment where you feel happy and excited, and communicate with interesting people there. Feeling good and sharing your thoughts open many windows of opportunities. The impossible becomes possible.
  • Go beyond the word that describes the solution to purpose of the solution, e.g. instead of saying "I need a job," say, "I need an income." That frees you from confining boundaries. Ask yourself, "What's the true purpose of this solution? Is there an alternative way to get that?"
  • Look for the Ideal Final Result, What is the benefit that you are trying to achieve? What is the cost of doing it now? What harmful side effects are generated? How could you achieve the benefit with NO cost or harm? Are you willing to work on that? Or do you want to work on an improvement (today's idea with more benefits or less cost or less harm?) Going all the way to the ideal stimulates lots of creativity.
Improving and enhancing Creativity is not just limited to these ways, there are more (coming soon.....).

I would welcome if any one post his/her comments of creativity or adding any definition and ways of improving Creativity.
